Quote Unquote

"I don't care what state we're in, pizza and fruit do not belong in the same air space!"

I think it would be good to start every post with a quote, seeing as I have so many. The one above is from the new Hawaii Five-O (it's a cop show about Hawaii, for those of you who don't know). One of the characters is commenting (*cough* ranting) about how pineapple pizza should not exist (which I agree with strongly...)

Some other quotes that I enjoy include:

"If we're going to play the waiting game, the guy who's been around ten thousand years is gonna win!" (Sheppard, Stargate Atlantis)

"Do you know what this is? Death! Delicious, strawberry flavored death!" (Walter, Fringe)

"It's not like I try to blow things up, it just sorta happens. You've got to admit though, fire is fascinating." (Seamus Finnegan, Harry Potter 4)

"I can walk, you idiots!" (Ayla Cetteras, Ayla's Games)

I can't really think of any others right now, but they'll come to me later...right now I have to hurry off to tech rehearsal for my play, Wonderland (!). It's an adaption of Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to Alice in Wonderland. I play the White King's messenger (and also official signpost keeper). Ciao!

An Inroduction

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

~Shel Silverstein, "Where the Sidewalk Ends"

This poem is the inspiration for the title of this blog, The Peppermint Wind. This blog is about my life, and it is a mixture and jumble of quotes, stories, characters, shows, movies events, and other happenings that are important to me.
Please stay and read a while.
